This site serves two purposes:

  1. It honors our country by providing another means to understand the foundation upon which it stands: the Constitution.
  2. It is a tool to demonstrate a variety of techniques for designing and building web sites.

This site was developed by combining content from a variety of web sites, many of these sites are identified on the web links page.

Notes on layout and style:

bulletThis site is designed for reading - use the font sizing feature of your browser if you need to expand or shrink the text.
bulletThe word "clause" followed by a number is NOT part of the original Constitution, it is placed here to help educators point out specific elements of the document.
bulletThe separation of Article I into three pages is discretionary and intended to aid in reading this "longest" section of the document.
bulletText only versions of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and Ammendments are also provided for your convenience.
bulletYou may notice some interesting misspellings such as "chuse" -- these were from the original document (no, my spell checker is not broken).
bulletThere are links on the various pages containing Articles and Amendments that will jump back and forth.  This relates the various amendments that modified the original Constitution.

Tools used to create this site include:

bulletFrontPage
bulletPaintShop Pro

This site was designed with Internet Explorer in mind -- but it looks pretty good in Netscape too!
