	Defined in the GIF 89A specification.
	One color can be designated as "transparent". Any color can be used.
	Background color/image is "passed" through the image.
	Various tools can be used to create transparent GIFs (PhotoShop, PaintShop Pro, etc.). FrontPage also has a graphic tool for setting up transparency.

Be careful when picking the transparent color--be careful where it is in the image and how things in the background "bleed" through.
